This beautiful little church situated in the heart of the village of Montsegur holds many secrets. Redecorated in the late 1930s to early 1940s, a time when Montsegur was hot on the esoteric map, the church is filled with symbols and icons that make for a fascinating morning or afternoon of decoding. Learn about the Montsegur/Montserrat connection and why a replica of 'La Moreneta' (little dark-skinned one), the queen of the black Madonnas, sits inside the center of the throne.
